Welcome to my portfolio of work. The following website designs have been created using Dreamweaver, Xara Xtreme, Fireworks, Notepad ++ and Topstyle.

All of these designs have been produced for PrimarySite.net who provide fun and creative websites for Primary Schools mainly based in the UK.
I needed to include a tree in this design and after working on a few ideas, drawing a couple of trees I went for a simplified tree illustration.
I tried to make the main navigation buttons easy on the eye.
Dorrington Primary School - This school requested a simple design incorporating flowers - they had some nice displays in school with flowery themes.
Once I created the flower style, I integrated this into the design.
St. Paul's Catholic Primary School - I have a vivid memory of working on this design, the ideas came very quickly probably due to the characters provided by the school.
Some lovely characters on this site which made the design process very enjoyable.
Salfords Primary School - I tried a slightly different approach with this design, played around with different ideas for the background of the website.
I got the chance to add one of my own cartoon characters to this site, which is always nice to do.
Sledmere Primary School - Another character driven site, with some nice colourful artwork which I re-drew and added to the design. I particularly like working with the simple stylised characters.
Pulling the characters from a photo display supplied by the school made this an enjoyable design to work on.
Crooksbarn Primary School - An older site design, but this was a fun design to work on. Another opportunity to work on a site with characters provided by the school.
I did enjoy adding the whiteboard to the homepage of this design.
Whissendine C of E Primary School - Another site with lovely characters to work with - including a character with a wand which I made a feature of the Kids' Zone section of this site.
I did enjoy working on the homepage for this site - incorporating a border that was a bit unusual.
The Meadow Primary School - This school wanted their website to have the feel of a garden environment, so again we have some flowers and a strong use of green in the design.
I particularly remember working on the flower icons for this site, as I had to re-create them from a bitmap image.
King's Road Primary School - The navigation menu was a primary feature of this site design. The intention was for a colourful menu that incorporated part of the school's logo - I worked this into the navigation buttons rollover state.
The Year Pages icons were fun to do, playing around with CSS to move the title text into the middle of the star icons.
Bower Hill Primary School - A slightly different design with an oval base at the centre. It was challenging carrying the oval shape of the design on into the content pages which can be tricky but I did manage to get there in the end.
This school had an interesting logo, which I used within the design of the navigation buttons.
Brindle Gregson Lane Primary - A more formal design than some of my previous sites with a text based navigation menu.
I had to re-draw the logo for this design in order to use the rose graphic on the Class Pages.
Catshill First School and Nursery - This design is one of my more unusual sites - particularly with page elements detached from each other. I particularly enjoyed re-drawing the school illustration and the logo.
This design was based on the prospectus layout provided by the school.
Corinthian Community Primary School - The school requested a strong Greek theme to their site, which gave me alot of reference to draw from.
Both the navigation icons and typeface were particularly nice to work with on this design.
Peter Hills with St. Mary's and St. Paul's C of E Primary School - The logo for this school provided an excellent platform for a ship based design. One of my older sites, but an enjoyable design to work on.
An interesting logo helped inspiration for this design.
Rokeby Primary School - This school requested that the navigation and general site design incorporate jigsaw pieces. The school also had some nice characters to enhance the design.
Plenty of resources and reference made this a nice site to design.
St. James' & Ebrington C of E Primary Schools - More of a formal design, with a landscape scene in the background requested by the school.
This design is a mix of formal/informal layout with a use of pastel/soft colours.
